Juniper said the WANDL software will give it traffic engineering, multi-layer optimization and path computation technology to help service provider customers improve the performance and cost of their networks. WANDL offers a portfolio of network analysis, simulation, optimization, capacity planning and management software designed to make service provider network more efficient in performance and cost.

WANDL will continue to be headquartered in New Jersey, and will work with Juniper Networks’ OpenLab innovation center to develop network-integrated applications. The transaction is expected to close in January 2014.
