Version 2.0.2 of the free NCAA March Madness Live app rolled out with bug fixes and the addition of live game radio. For only US$ 3.99, you can watch live streaming video of all 67 games of the 2012 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament.
The NCAA March Madness Live app is available for Android, iPhone, and iPad devices. Free features in the app include live game radio of all 67 games, live "social chatter" for teams in every game, and the ability to fill out the official NCAA Bracket Challenge bracket from your mobile device.
Testing the App
I downloaded the iPhone app to test it out. I live in Lawrence, Kansas, and once again, our Jayhawks are headed to the NCAA tournament. So I decided the US$ 3.99 in-app upgrade to watch the live games might be money well spent, especially since you can use it on your computer and other mobile devices for no extra charge.
The first time I clicked Score and Schedules, the app crashed. After that, it worked fine, and the schedule makes it easy to see who's playing and when.
The Bracket button will come in handy if you want to see how your teams are doing. You can also configure alerts for your favorite teams to see how they're holding up at halftime or to check out the final score. Tournament alert options include Potential Upset, Upset Final, Crunch Time for when there's a close game inside the last five minutes, and overtime alerts.
For about four bucks, you can stay on top of all the 2012 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament action no matter where you are, or which device you're using. Rock Chalk!
