Employee No. 12 has left the group. R.K. Anand, one of the first employees of Juniper Networks when it was founded in 1996, has relinquished his position as executive vice president and general manager of Juniper's Data Center Business Unit.
Anand is still with the company, and an executive vice president, but is serving as an advisor to CEO Kevin Johnson. Kim Perdikou, formerly executive vice president and general manager of Juniper's Infrastructure Products Group, has the same position.
Taking Anand's place heading up data center operations is Jonathan Davidson, who also assumes leadership of Juniper's campus and branch business units, the spokesperson says. Both data center and campus and branch had been separate groups, but have now been combined into one, the spokesperson told us.
Anand, who led development of Juniper's QFabric switch upon last year's departure of David Yen, formerly executive vice president and general manager of the company's Fabric and Switching Business Unit, reported to Stefan Dyckerhoff, who heads Juniper's Platform Systems Group. Yen left Juniper for Cisco just after the Dyckerhoff was named to head that group.
Anand also led development of Juniper silicon and software as EVP of Foundation Technologies before heading up the data center unit.
Davidson came to Juniper in early 2010 from Cisco. He's been leading campus and branch operations since July.
