As indicated by the rumor mill late last night, Apple's iPad Mini with Retina Display went live today on Apple's online store. Users who place orders are finding that shipping time is a rather reasonable 1 to 3 business days, though various models may stretch that out to 5 to 10 days.
The launch date for the iPad Mini with Retina Display was certainly a pleasant surprise as many assumed it wouldn't launch until very late in November. Tim Cook himself noted that he wasn't sure that Apple would have enough supply to meet demand, a problem allegedly stemming from poor yields on the Mini's high-res display.
In any event, the iPad Mini comes in two colors - Space Grey and SIlver - with the base 16 GB model checking in at $399.
Apple earlier today released a press release announcing the new iPad Mini's availability.
