If you thought Twitter's 140-character "tweets" were the end of intelligent life on the Internet think again, my friend.
As of Monday, when you use Twitter's revised iOS app to compose a tweet, you will first be shown your photo gallery. If you don't want to send a photo you click in the blank text box and the keyboard appears replacing the photo gallery. Moreover, you will not be able to change the default behavior so as to get the keyboard instead of the gallery.
While tweeting photos has become far more popular in recent months it appears that Twitter is now actively pushing users towards photo sharing as the primary mode of communication. Will this dumb down tweets? Probably. I predict death by "selfies." Will it increase Twitter traffic? Definitely.
