InterCall, a subsidiary of West Corporation and NextPlane, announced an agreement under which InterCall will market and resell NextPlane’s UC Exchange services. Under the arrangement, InterCall customers who use UC platforms from providers such as Microsoft and Cisco will be able to connect, communicate and collaborate with over 250 federation-ready organizations and over 600 UC domains globally.
InterCall provides a variety of UC features to their customers, including mobile and premise-based video conferencing, IM & presence, multi-party chat and voice integration. It also offers UC design and deployment services, including alternatives for on-premise, hosted and hybrid solutions.
Commenting in a statement about the agreement, Rob Bellmar, Executive Vice President of Conferencing and Collaboration at InterCall said, “We are very pleased to have NextPlane join us as a strategic partner. The NextPlane UC Exchange service aligns with our collaboration philosophy. Our goal is to connect anyone anywhere in order to enhance productivity and improve performance.”
In other news, IntelePeer, a cloud-based UC provider, announced an agreement with Tech Data Corporation a large wholesale distributors, to offer IntelePeer CoreCloud SIP Trunking services through Tech Data’s TDCloud business unit. IntelePeer SIP trunking is certified for all major UC platforms and telephony equipment vendors, including Microsoft, Avaya, Cisco, ShoreTel and Siemens/Unify UC systems. IntelePeer’s solution is the first SIP trunking service offered through the Tech Data Solutions Store.
Michael Jerich, chief commercial officer for IntelePeer commented in a statement saying “It’s a great opportunity for us to reach new customers who can easily include SIP trunking services along with their other purchases as part of a complete cloud-based communications solution.”
