Internet2 Wednesday began its call for nominations for the 2011 Richard Rose Award, which recognizes those bringing advanced networking to the education community.
The award will be presented at the Internet2 Spring 2011 Member Meeting in Arlington, Va., to be held April 18-20. Nominations will be accepted until March 15.
Richard Rose (1947-2007) helped lead Internet2's K20 Initiative, which seeks to narrow the digital divide by bringing the benefits of advanced networking to colleges, K-12 schools, libraries and museums.
