VMware Stock Chart

Ned Hooper
Only 2 months have passed since my blog on Cisco's $150 million investment to buy a 1.6% stake in VMware. Well in that short time span, Cisco's $150 million VMware investment has tripled in value to $510 million. VMware total revenues in the 2007 first half grew 95% to $555.5 million from $285.5 million in 2006. VMware 2007 first half net income grew 111% to $75.3 million from $35.7 million in 2006. Ned Hooper - senior vice president corporate development at Cisco, is showing a keen knack for successful investment in disruptive technologies.
