Yachting with Oracle CEO Larry Ellison

Built by Germany's Lürssen yachts, the 453 foot Rising Sun is owned by Oracle CEO Larry Ellison. It is the fourth largest yacht in the world and reportedly cost over $200 million to build. List of motor yachts by length Ellison's Rising Sun was built to surpass the size of the 414 foot yacht Octopus, owned by Microsoft’s Paul Allen.

Besides being a yacht enthusiast, Larry Ellison is also a medical philanthropist: The Ellison Medical Foundation IRS Form 990 Ellison told the San Francisco Chronicle, "It's still a little surreal in one lifetime to go from running out of money at the end of every month and living on macaroni and cheese, which is what I did when I came to San Francisco, to having all this money."
