Cloud computing adoption continues as companies look for ways to reduce costs, boost productivity and tap the power of complex datasets to gain market insight. As a result, IT professionals who evolve can take advantage of the cloud growth.

According to Gartner's Forecast Overview, companies spent 110.3 billion in 2012 on cloud services and the number is expected to grow through 2016.

"End-user spending on public cloud services is expected to grow 18.6% in 2012 to $110.3 billion and is expected to record a compound annual growth rate of 17.7% from 2011 through 2016. "
