Remembering tech journalist Eric Lundquist

Former PC Week/eWeek editor passes away at 64

Eric Lundquist

Sad news broke over the weekend that Eric Lundquist, a longtime technology journalist, had died suddenly at the age of 64. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Eric personally but knew him to be an accomplished peer during his years with rival publications PC Week (later eWeek) and even briefly with IDG, Network World's parent company, in 2008.

The outpouring of heartfelt sentiments spread across social media and the web since his passing make clear that he had a big impact on the tech industry, the media organizations that cover it and the many people with whom he interacted.

Here's a tribute to Lundquist published at InformationWeek and another from the Official Microsoft Blog.
