Apple is mum on its Black Friday plans so far, but Apple Insider reports that many Apple Stores will open earlier than usual on Nov. 28, the big shopping day after Thanksgiving.
According to the report, 8AM local time openings will be common at Apple Stores this Black Friday, though that's actually a later opening than last year and in years past. While some stores might list their usual 10AM opening times, employees might be given the go-ahead to let customers in a bit early to snap up the latest iPhone, iPad, Mac and other products.
Word of Black Friday sales from third-party retailers offering iPhone 6 discounts have already leaked.
Apple traditionally waits until very shortly before Black Friday to reveal its own Black Friday deals. Apple has gotten into the habit of offering Black Friday price breaks of about $100 off Macs and $50 off iPads (it's less clear what it might offer in the way of iPhone savings).
We'll be rounding up some of the more eye-catching Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals for this season (here's a sampling of last year's deals).
