Product name: Switchvox 5.0

Key features: Switchvox 5.0 adds fixed mobile convergence (FMC) and further integration with third-party business applications into its VoIP unified communications solution designed for small- to mid-sized businesses. Based on Asterisk, Switchvox 5.0 includes more APIs for greater customization and integration with third-party business applications. Tenable's Nessus Android Application

Product: Nessus Android Application

Key features: The Nessus Android Application is the first Android-based mobile application for vulnerability scanning. Nessus users can remotely connect to a Nessus server, launch scans and review reports from their Android devices anywhere, at anytime. More info.

Samsung's Spinpoint M8 internal hard drive

Product: Spinpoint M8 internal hard drive

Key features: The 5400-rpm drive is aimed at laptops and has 1TB capacity, which could raise the bar for storage available on laptops. Has two 500GB platters, is 9.5 millimeters (0.37 inches) high, is denser than earlier models and is also more power efficient as it carries fewer components. The disk is about 7% faster than its predecessor and uses 8% less power.

Toshiba's IPedge

Product: IPedge

Key features: IPedge is a communication appliance that incorporates call processing and voice mail with unified messaging features, unified communications, centralized administration, and the ability for individuals to program their own telephones. It supports both SIP line and SIP trunk interfaces and comes in three models ranging from support for 40 to 1,000 users.

Cellcrypt Mobile for Android

Product name: Cellcrypt Mobile for Android

Key features: An application for mobile phones running Android that encrypts voice calls. To make an encrypted call, the caller and recipient both must have the software installed, although they can use different OSs. Cellcrypt Mobile is essentially a VoIP application that uses either Wi-Fi or an operator's data channel on either GPRS, EDGE, 3G or satellite networks to transmit voice. The software uses public key cryptography.

Lenovo's ThinkServer TS430 rack server

Product name: ThinkServer TS430 rack server

Key features: Targeted at small businesses with few or no IT staff, it includes software modules and virtualization capabilities to remotely configure and troubleshoot servers. The remote management capabilities make it easier to maintain servers and PCs and minimize the need for specialized IT personnel. Also includes software that allows administrators to remotely patch the server. Comes with Intel's latest E3-1200 server processors with up to four processing cores, which were announced in March. The new chips are up to 30% faster than the previous processors based on the Westmere microarchitecture.

Samsung's Series 5 Chromebooks

Product name: Series 5 Chromebooks

Key features: These laptops come with the Chrome OS, a thin version of Linux to run Web applications or light applications purchased from the Chrome Store. They boot in under 10 seconds and support Adobe's Flash. The laptops include Intel's dual-core Atom N570 processor and come in Wi-Fi and 3G configurations. The laptops also have 16GB of solid-state drive storage, 2GB of RAM, two USB ports and weigh 1.5 kilograms (3.3 pounds). Include a 12.1-inch screen and offer 8.5 hours of battery life.

Product name: iTwin

Key features: Startup iTwin offers a gadget of the same name for users to access files on remote PCs over the Internet. Resembling a USB drive, the device has two pieces that can be used to create a secure peer-to-peer network over the Internet between two PCs to share files. One piece goes into the main computer, while the other half needs to be carried and activated on any computer with an Internet connection. Both PCs have to be online and users need to carry an iTwin piece to remotely access files. In essence, the device creates a "personal cloud' around a user's PC hard disk, with the data accessible through another PC. It allows users to watch, share, copy or back up documents. It works with PCs and soon, Macs.

Product name: LongJump Javelin and Relay

Key features: Online database provider LongJump unveils Javelin and Relay for its PaaS, database and CRM products, embracing the convergence of cloud, social networking and mobile and facilitating growing consumerization of IT. LongJump Relay adds a social layer to business apps, and Javelin turns custom apps into native mobile apps. More info.

Further pricing: LongJump Online Database has plans ranging from $19 per month for two users to $500 per month for 50 users. Licensed versions of the platform for private use ranges from $60,000 to $120,000.

Viridty's EnergyCenter version 2.0 (v2.0)

Product name: EnergyCenter version 2.0 (v2.0)

Key features: EnergyCenter v2.0 enhancements include: user defined asset grouping, VMware virtual guest power analysis, heat mapping, advanced auto alert, enhanced import/export, and an extended data center genome database (GxDB). More info.
