Google releases an actual cloud

Happy April Fools Day

If there’s one problem with cloud computing it’s that the technology is intangible.

Google has finally fixed that.

This isn’t just any old cloud though. It’s “literally a cloud,” Google says, made from groundbreaking research by Google around super-cooled water droplets and high-altitude, lightweight chip design. It comes with “industry-first features” such as StormBoost which “draws on the power of mother nature” to give Google Actual Cloud Platform disks a 50% IOPS boost during thunderstorms.

Customers are giddy. “I just love that I can see it,” says one user.

And Google wins the cloud computing April Fools Day jokes.
