Polycom announced three new services last week designed to expand its collaboration portfolio including Polycom RealAccess, Polycom Managed Services, and Polycom VVX Services for Microsoft Lync (Skype for Business.)
Polycom RealAccess is a services delivery platform that offers users uses near-real-time data through a secure, cloud-based portal designed to help them make evidence-based decisions about their collaboration environment. The platform includes applications that can be used for:
•Asset Management by providing information about endpoints,
•Analytics by offering data and metrics on utilization, capacity and performance, and a
•Video Library with “how-to” training videos to help people use collaboration tools.
Polycom also broadened its Managed Services offering for customers who choose to outsource all or part of their video collaboration. The expanded offers cover the Polycom® RealPresence® Platform (video infrastructure) and endpoints, providing monitoring, management, hosting and transformation services. The new managed services give customers the ability to choose the level of service they need.
For organizations that have chosen to add enterprise voice to their Microsoft Lync (Skype for Business) deployments using Polycom VVX phones, Polycom has extended support by offering services that can help customers optimize their infrastructure, familiarize administrators and users with features and assist planning and live installations.
The Polycom RealAccess services delivery platform and Polycom Managed Services are available today now, and Polycom VVX Services for Lync will be available in late spring.
