Polycom adds three new collaboration solutions

Polycom has announced three new solutions at InfoComm 2015 based on its Polycom RealPresence Platform. These include the Polycom RealPresence Cloud, Web Suite, and Media Suite. The Polycom RealPresence Cloud is designed to provide global access to mobile-friendly cloud video collaboration service featuring click-to-connect functionality via a Web browser. It is compatible with Skype for Business or standards-based H.323 and SIP compliant codecs, across a variety of voice and video endpoints.

The Polycom RealPresence Web Suite is a collaboration software solution. It will include the ability to Share, view, compare and annotate multiple documents at the same time; WebRTC connectivity; a virtual whiteboard/blackboard, and meeting tools such as roster control, muting, group chat and in-meeting invites.

The Polycom RealPresence Media Suite is designed to help users connect and engage with employees, improve knowledge management and deliver on-demand corporate training. It provides a recording and webcasting portal that allows users to record, share, stream and playback full-motion videos during meetings. It can provide network-based recording for up to 100 concurrent video sessions, stream up to 50 live events and reach up to 10,000 viewers through live webcasts and recorded videos.

Commenting on the portfolio enhancements in a statement, Ashan Willy, Polycom Senior Vice President of Worldwide Systems Engineering and Product Management said, The market is changing, and today’s announcement is symbolic of our mission to meet those needs by taking collaboration beyond the walls of the traditional office and making it easier and more intuitive.”
