Despite the requiems and tributes issued last year for money-losing RadioShack as it appeared to be going down for good, the electronics retailer has emerged from bankruptcy protection and is now gearing up for Black Friday with a slew of deals.
1,700-location strong RadioShack, which earlier this year was bought out by General Wireless, is promoting deals start on Nov. 25, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The retailer is trumpeting that "RadioShack is back and better than ever."
Among the deals:
*7-inch Amazon Fire 32GB tablet for $55, about a third of the usual price.
*A free radio-controlled Hovermaxx UFO with a $50 purchase in store ($15 value)
*Lots of drones, including RadioShack's 8.75-inch Zeraxa Remote Control Drone with Camera for $80, which represents a $60 savings.
*Linksys Smart WiFi Dual-Band Router for $100, about half the usual price.
*LG Volt 2 no-contract phone for $80. The 5-inch Android phone usually goes for $150.
