27-inch Core i5 iMac (with Core i7 option)
When Apple announced new iMacs last month, it included a major step forward amid the subtle-but-welcome refinements in most of the models: the first ever iMac to offer a quad-core processor. The new high-end 27-inch iMacs are the first to use Intel's Core i5 and Core i7 quad-core processors, and they were not available at the time of the announcement. But finally, the wait is over, and the Core i5 and Core i7 27-inch iMacs have arrived--and let me tell you, it was worth the wait.

Governor of Poker
The game is No-Limit Texas Hold'em, and Governor of Poker's attempt to build a story around it will make you long for a simple game of cards. As a cowboy in the Old West, you travel from tournament to tournament, playing for cash and property. Eventually, you can buy better modes of transportation to play in far-off Texas locales. Governor of Poker ($10, one-hour free trial) is a big idea that doesn't work in play.

Mad Skills Motocross
Back in the days of my misspent youth, one of my favorite arcade games was Vs. Excitebike, a side-scrolling motocross racing game based on launching a little 8-bit motorcycle off of various ramps while trying not to crash. Playing Turborilla's Mad Skills Motocross (free demo available) brought back fond memories of Vs. Excitebike--while clearly a different game, the basic premise is the same.
