Data Backup and Replication
Data-backup software tools create copies of data for safekeeping, on different media such as disks or tape. These backups can then be used to restore all or parts of the data on a system in case of a failure. Replication often refers to the act of keeping a separate, active copy of data in a separate physical location that can be accessed and used immediately in a disaster-recovery scenario.
