CeBIT Open Source 2012 Call for Projects

Open source projects are invited to apply for free exhibit space at CeBIT Open Source 2012.

CeBIT 2012 will take place March 6-10 in Hannover, Germany. Open source projects are invited to apply for free exhibit space, and non-commercial projects will have special consideration. The deadline for applications is December 18, 2011.

CeBIT, the world's largest IT trade show, partners with Linux New Media AG to offer free booths. According to the application page, projects must be ready to present their content and goals to trade show participants, be able to run the booth during the entire trade show with project members who will be able to explain the project to attendess, and notify their project communities about particitpation in the CeBIT Open Source 2012 event. An international jury will evaluate applications.

Topics for each day of CeBIT 2012 are:

  • March 6: "All things smart"
  • March 7: "Flying the Cloud"
  • March 8: "Connect your lifestyle: Entertainment, Mobility, Content"
  • March 9: "Social Business: Listen, Share, Care"

Last year, more than 3,000 people attended the CeBIT event and more than 21,000 watched the live video stream.
