I'll be presenting a session on Business Intelligence in SharePoint 2010 on September 11th at the San Ramon Marriott. Registraction is free if you're in the area. Just go to http://spsbay.eventbrite.com/
Here's the abstract:
Business Intelligence is a broad topic, and this session will clarify the different components available to end users, administrators and developers in SharePoint 2010 with the goal of demystifying the different options. The presentation will start with the simpler capabilities available to power users of the SharePoint environment, and then move up to the tools that will require developer-level abilities. At the beginner level the use of Excel spreadsheets, SharePoint graphs and filters, along with SharePoint KPIs will be covered. At the intermediate level Excel Services and Access Services will be presented, and at the high end of the spectrum the use of PerformancePoint and Business Connectivity Services will be covered.
