Sure most of you know that you can use Wine to run Windows applications on your MAC OS X system. But I'm guessing most of you don't use it. Why? Because it is complex and cumbersome to most users. Now Winebottler enters from stage left and things get remarkably easy. In fact, Winebottler allows you to package up Windows applications like IE7 into OS X apps. Then you can execute them just like an OS X application.

WineBottler is being developed by mike kronenberg. It is still in Beta but still a great piece of software. WineBottler allows you to create a completely standalone install of Windows applications that you can then distribute to others. However you do still have to have Wine.app installed on your MAC. WineBottler bundles up everything you'll need in one application file that you just click on to run. It looks like this in finder when you're done.
