I'm very honored to be named as one of the top 50 influencers in the SharePoint space. The list was commissioned by Global 360 and KnowledgeLake. Today's announcement featured only Systems Integrators and Consultants. We consumed 17 of the 50 slots. I guess that means that 33 spaces remain for Solution Providers, Microsoft Executives, Journalists, and Analysts, who will be announced soon.
What makes getting named to the list especially flattering is that the measures attempted to focus on trust - answering the question "who do you trust when it comes to making decisions about purchasing and implementation related to SharePoint?" For a consultant, being a trusted advisor and partner to your clients is the ultimate measure of success. It is the relationship I strive for with every engagement and I hope that's why I made it to this list.
It's always really nice to be recognized in the professional domain. However, the big question for me is - do I tell my kids? If I thought it would help influence getting the clothing off the floor, I might. It's too bad that being an influencer in SharePoint doesn't necessarily translate to influencing one's children to clean up their rooms!
