iPad 3 rumors continue to roll in fast and furious. Hot on the heels of a report that the next-gen iPad will house a quad-core processor and will support 4G LTE networks, the Japanese-language Macotakara blog is reporting that Apple will hold a special iPad media event in early February to be followed by an iPad 3 release in early March.
Now this is certainly exciting news for anyone eagerly anticipating upgrading to Apple's next-gen iPad, which will reportedly come with a front facing HD camera as well, but such an early release date for the iPad 3 seems a bit dubious.
Indeed, most iPad 3 rumors have pointed to a late March release at the absolute earliest with a much safer bet being a launch sometime in early April. Still, Apple likes to keep its plans fluid so we imagine more concrete information will emerge in the weeks ahead.
Lastly, a few sources have said that the iPad 3 will be released alongside a lower-priced iPad 2 (i.e $399).
