Google and Dell are possibly making a deal to have its Chrome OS put on on the PC company's laptops. According to Reuters, "We have to have a point of view on the industry and technology direction two years, three years down the road, so we continuously work with Google on this," Amit Midha, Dell's president for Greater China and South Asia said.

Google says that Chrome OS netbooks will arrive in the late fall. The operating system is a Google Chrome web browser running on Goobuntu Linux. Internet tablets like the Archos are already running Android and Dell is developing tablets based on the Android operating system as well.

In March of this year, Google began its developer certification program. The certification is rooted in building cloud approved developers on Google's APIs by giving the developers incentives. Will a Google OS certification follow?
