The Imagine Cup 2010 competition had its final presentations last night here in Poland and the Software Design Competition was keynoted by the President of Microsoft International, Jean-Philippe Courtois. It is always wonderful to see such high ranking Microsoft executives join the Imagine Cup competition, cheer on the competitors, and really make the event special for the students who have worked hard the past year to win their local country final competition, and to compete on the international level at the finals.

The Software Design finals lasted 3-1/2 hours with each of the final 6 teams having 20 minutes to present their software solution, and 10 minutes for the 6 judges to ask questions. If you wish to watch the final competition presentation and see the projects each of the team created, Paolo Tosolini streamed the final competition from his mobile phone with the content stored up on http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/8131351

The 6 judges that scored the finalists to determine which team takes home the Imagine Cup grand prize of $25,000 included:
After 3-1/2 hours of presentations, the judges spent the next hour deliberating that resulted in the Top 3 rankings in the world. The awards will be announced this evening at the Warsaw Opera House, the largest stage in Europe and the site of the Imagine Cup 2010 Worldwide Final Awards Ceremony.
I’ll blog the awardees later today!
