Facebook can really wear a guy or gal out, according to findings from the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project. Six in 10 users surveyed say they've taken a voluntary break from the social network for several weeks or more.
The survey says that two-thirds of American adults have Facebook accounts and that 20% of online adults who do not use the social network say they once did. There's some hope for more adults joining the fray through, as 8% of online adults not on Facebook say they might.
Of those users who say they have taken Facebook vacations, top reasons were being too busy with other stuff, a general lack of interest in the site and too much gossip/drama.
