Another small XML gateway vendor is offering a replacement program for Cisco's discontinued ACE XML Gateway. Forum Systems, a subsidiary of Crosscheck Networks of Newton, MA., is the latest to offer a migration from the Cisco platform to an alternative XML gateway

Vordel and Layer 7 are also offering replacement programs for the Cisco ACE XML Gateway.

In fact, Forum actually extended its existing program earlier this month. Through March 31, 2011, Forum says it will direct ACE XML Gateway trade-in credit in exchange for any of its own XML gateways. Forum just unveiled the latest verison of its flagship Forum Sentry XML Gateway

The company will also provide no-cost, on-site migration to Forum Sentry XML Gateway policies; offer a no-cost training and certification program for those gateways; and provide 24x7x365 support.

The company is also offering best practices advice on selecting an XML gateway.

Forum says its Sentry gateways process more than 1 billion XML and SOAP transactions daily, around the world. It is used by 300 organizations and certified by NIST and the U.S. Department of Defense, the company says.
