"Crafting the messaging"
I hear this one a lot from Internal Communications folks: "we'd like to reach out and engage a working session [another loathsome term] to craft the messaging around the launch".
What's wrong with "we need to discuss the launch announcements"? I suppose they need the "working session" in order to incorporate a lot of unnecessary jargon. Chances are, if it needs to be "crafted", the communications are getting over-complicated.
