What a revelation: clients are where the problems are? Every user represents a multi-pronged threat whether inside or outside the network. Administrators have too long relied on lots of expensive equipment and solutions and overlooked the basics. Lock down the desktop and you eliminate 99% of the problems: viruses, spyware, bots etc. Diligent usage monitoring can also optimize network performance, application response time and avoid data leakage problems.
All the VCs want to do is spin their investments to a 10x return and will say whatever they must to realize their goals.
