Finding a WCCP version that works is easy.
WCCP works just fine. I've been using it for web caching for five years and been doing wan optimization using it for a year now. All of the recent IOS versions support it with no problem. And if you have a question on which version works, check with your Cisco SE. Do you work for Riverbed? I would assume so, because they made similar statements to "WCCP implementation on routers or switches that would work without any 'bugs'" and you're paying particular interest to this post.
