It will be a rough year but

MS has the right movements (for business) but they still are in middle of a huge cultural change. The current (announced) products are still from old thinking but, trust me, the are changing more customer and user oriented pricing, configuration, standards, etc. I don't much like what they have (or offer) today but there are signs that it will get more up to date, it just takes time to turn around an "old", proprietary thinking to make more business, look the history of much older SW (and HW) companies to see what pains they have gone through time to time and some didn't really survive. Also, the "big" business is new to MS, not the volumes but the real business core systems, I'm sure they can take their share but not easily - many changes are still needed. MS is still like modern day Xerox, a lot of good ideas but how to make it profitable may not always be clear to old management?
