The Pot Calling the Kettle Black....
Symantec's role in the "security" arena, as well as its other myriad divisions, much more closely resembles a monoploy than Microsoft's recent foray into that space. Symantec has devoured competitors over time, both through their own huge competitive pressure-making machine, and outright buying-out other publishers. Sorry, Symantec, you are crying crocodile tears.
Besides, given the Microsoft offering's poor-to-mediocre performance ratings, they are hardly true competition in the eye of any informed consumer. Symantec should welcome the inferior product in the market place as they stand to hold the position of "hero" to rescue the infected uninformed subscribers of the inadequate Microsoft product.
Friends don't let friends but Windows Vista Home Basic, and they also don't recommend Microsoft anti-malware products.
