Scott, I couldn't agree
Scott,
I couldn't agree more. If that wasn't enough the employers and hiring managers are advised how to "disqualify" American workers, e.g., the youtube posting.
According to the chart, it appears that wireless LANs and networking, both of which I'm certified in are the top two in demand skills. Yet, here I sit. Its the same old story... I can't get a job for lack of experience and I can't get the experience for lack of employment.
Then there's the "one size fits all" posting seeking a NETWORK ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR and the first five bullets talk about Windows, AD, or SQL, etc.
If the company needs sysadmins then that's what they should ask for...
I'm male, Caucasion, and over thirty, I already have three strikes against me before I start. Oh well, 1.800.Waa.Waah. Have a good one.
