That will never happen in our life time. There are so many US companies getting in bed with China, they are having China doing their manufacturing and development you can bet that there are lobbyist in D.C. to make sure this relationship does not end. Besides Americans buy plenty of cheaper products made in China.
However, it does seem strange that the company, who invented Ethernet, will be partly owned by a Chinese company. The majority owner Bain Capital is located in Boston.
