In my opinion Riverbed has the best of breed solution for application acceleration. I work, as an engineer, for a Cisco partner and we are also partnered with Riverbed, because they have the best WAN optimization technology out there at this point. We are doing something very similar in that we are offering the Riverbed solution as a service so customers don't have the large CapX and they are able to take advantage of the technology immediately rather than trying to find a big budget dollars to purchase the solution out right. I have a lot of comparison data on all the competitors if anyone is interested. Forrester, Gartner, etc...
