Let's hear from more Used Cisco users! (says the reseller)
First off, let's hear from more Cisco users as to who they send their POs to... I know some of our clients regularly compare us against Cisco's certified refurb and we frequently win out due to price and availability.
In regards to the above user not running into any fakes, I'm really happy to hear thats the case. I imagine a lot of enterprise users/buyers out there are wondering what all the fuss is about in the marketplace regarding counterfeit hardware. The fact is that its the resellers who are most concerned about it, particularly those of us who care about our clients and our long-term relationships. We don't want that crap to end up in their hands, thus we do our best to screen for it.
As Joe Turco points out, its the "new Cisco" garbage on eBay listed by rogue traders where you can run into trouble. Those who deal with solid resellers or Cisco direct shouldn't have to be on red alert.
