Back in 1988 everyone was waiting for this new O/S that was going to take over.
When OS/2 arrived, it was slow, bloated, requried high end hardware, and didn't run legacy apps well at all.
Well here we are again. The best thing Microsoft could do is admit failure, and quickly move on.
