Broadband Data (Only)
Too much hype by the CellCO and their basestation providers on what these 3G Networks are really capable of in a real world heavily used Cell Network.
These CDMA and GSM (HSDPA) based networks will continue to provide a respectable (average) of 768Kbps-1Mb Down and 128Kbps to 512Kbps Up across their network. This super hype by Ericsson and others on what the LTE (4G) service will deliver is really lame.
Their focus should and will remain on providing the best Voice coverage possible and leave the serious data (Symmetrical) services to Metro and select rural based WAN WiMAX (Mobile & Fixed) and Core Urban WiFi (802.11n based) Mesh in the last mile.
It is all about Convergence as in FMC that is already starting in the Enterprise.
