The Open Source Softwares have a Limit. Not everything can be open.
-Microsoft will not make Windows software open
-EMC will not make DMX or Clariion code open
For that reason even Samsung does not give away TV/Mobile technology open.
Sun's claim of NetApp NFS use is silly. It is like Every Phone vendor should pay Loyalty to Alexander Graham Bell. Sun is a very Big Company and Should rightly respect other smaller companies patent rights.
NetApp on the other hand are right about thier claim to Sun. "Give what belongs to you". This should have been settled out-of-court though.
Sun needs to Re-Invent itself by shining bright. Not by Opening up Technology of others.
