Good for Microsoft for negotiating itself into a better position to protect against piracy. Good, too, that the deal includes a separate piece to pre-install Windows Live on PCs, rather than sneaking Windows Live into the operating system. Now, unlike other players, will Live be immune to China's desire for censorship? If so, that will be the best yet for Microsoft to win the Chinese search market.
