Reading "Google favored by Web admins" this afternoon got me thinking about Google's lead in the search game.
Is Google the favorite search engine for users because it's better or is it because Google is favored by web site owners? Google, unlike it's competitors (Yahoo and Microsoft), has gone developed tools such as sitemap feeds, best practices spelled out and Robots.txt files to encourage web developers to make there content more accessible to Google's spiders and therefore better indexed?
Isn't that why the search results are 'more relevant'?
