What better excuse for practicing your typing skills? Children must also be taught that the Internet can be a dangerous place and that they should exercise caution on the network just as they would if they were out alone in a big city. There's virtually no difference and they should conduct themselves accordingly. Web filters won't keep them safe, nor parental supervision. Ultimately, these decisions must be self-directed. Then and only then will users be knowledgeable and able to make prudent decisions without an overlord peering over their shoulders constantly.
