I think someone should ask
I think someone should ask Gabriel for the results of all these implementations because not a word of this actually happened. I won't bad mouth the products as I'm sure they actually work when implemented properly. I don't know how these implementations resolved anything with SOX because our auditors still ask for screen shots showing security rights and never mention logs or reports from these products. None of this software was implemented correctly because it was all smash and grab to remediate audit issues fast.
Consolidated the processes of 2 datacenters? One is outsourced and the other is internal running on two completely separate processes. 2/3 done with an Active Directory consolidation? You mean the one completely being run by the Help Desk team? Yes that's right, the Help Desk is running the AD consolidation project and there has been little to no involvement from the Security team. Not even the system information is correct. 12 domain controllers for 80 schools? That doesn't even make sense. I've never seen or heard of Red Hat or Oracle in this whole place.
I'm glad I know all of this personally. Now I know to never listen to Network World when it comes to case studies or anything else. You should be embarrassed to even print this stuff.
