don't need coffee
Couldn't care less about coffee - don't drink the stuff. Some do & that's fine. Coffee pots, on the other hand, cause concern. They are left on over holidays and weekends. They dry out, catch fire, etc. Our practice is unplug coffee pots at the end of each day.
I have similar concerns with heaters. The 'toaster' types cause significant power fluctuations - these things draw a fair amount of power. Management's responsibility: take control of temperature and set it to a reasonable value & don't allow 'fiddling'. Those who are too hot/cold can adjust.
