I guess it got me too.
I had the same issue with IE6 and XP. In my case, when I went to certain web pages the browser would ask me if I wanted to debug an exception with Visual Studio. When I said "no", IE just closed.
I thought it might have been an interaction with Macafee, since I also just installed that, but I guess its unrelated.
My solution was to put on IE7 for XP, after which I had no issues, but I would have preferred to stick with IE6.
