RE: To catch a hacker

The article starts out quite bad...

"Entrapment" is not an offense anybody will sue you for. It is only used as a defense against a law enforcement official. So in short:

- only law enforcement can "entrap". A regular citizen can not.
- it can only be used as a defense, after admitting the crime.

Overall: usually its not worth the while to catch a hacker, unless there is substantial damages. (>> $5000 required by federal law)
