I'm split
As an abused long-time IT professional, I find myself split on this. I can appreciate and understand some of the attitudes and beliefs of younger IT workers...but some of these Pepsi Generation brats that received soccer trophies just for participating have an unrealistic view of their worth in today's business climate. Like it or not, it is sometimes necessary to pay your dues and learn your craft well before the rewards come your way. At the end of the day you will be judged on how much value you bring to the business. If you can't deal with this fact, look into another profession.
