Now, I haven't seen the movie, so I can't comment to exactly what they are attempting to pull off, but I can say that there are tons of websites that get plenty of traffic and are advertised in thousands of spam messages, but running off of multiple fastflux domains where webservers and nameservers both are made up of compromised PCs in the US and overseas.

Even if you manage to shut down 100 of them there are 100 more up a moment later... some fake casino and pharmacy sites have managed to stay running for very long times...
