The concept of IP

Yes and IP can be tracked back around the world but, getting foreign governments to provide deils of who owns what IP at one time is time consuming. The time scope for the movie is 2 weeks. At the time of the scripts writing that was the fastest time frame in which a cybecase has gone from beginning to execution of a search warrant. That 2 week case by the way is still awaiting trial after 4 years.
